I Remember

Let us never forget.

Other's Pain

My life is so peaceful but I see other's who are fighting a huge battle. I am in prayer for them. I am thankful that my husband and I are able to help them. God always makes a way. We live in a small community and everyone is pulling together to do all they can to help. In the end I KNOW that God is going to fix things once and for all and finally close a door that will allow them to go on and live their lives in peace. Please pray for them. Pray for the children, they've been so mentally abused for so long. Parents don't realize sometimes the damage they do their children, or maybe they do but they just don't care. Either way, the children need the protection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

My Newest Blog Discovery

Everyone knows that one of my favorite blogs to read is Katie's Kisses-The Journey. She lives a dream that I once had in my own heart as a child. The great visions that I had I see come true through her. Because of her, I have a heart for Uganda and it's people. I know that the Lord changed my path of going to school to become a Dental Hygienist because He has greater plans to use me over seas as a nurse. I may never be full time like Katie but I will meet her one day. I will see the ground of Uganda and allow the Lord to use me for His people.

A sweet friend of mine shared another blog today on her facebook. As I read it brought to mind Katie and her journey and I realized how many missionaries there are that actually give their lives full time into ministry. When we homeschooled we read many stories of old missionaries that experienced the divine move of God, heard His audible voice, and seen miracles that we only read about in God's word.

It never stopped.

Why yes, I knew this, but..... some how I guess it hadn't sunk in.

I love reading of the journeys that others take that I can only at the present dream of.

Now, I'm not saying that I am not used here and now by and for the Lord but I can admit that I am not totally immersed in Him.

If you want to be stirred. If you want to be fed. Share in the journey of these ladies who have given their all. Pray for these countries that have no medical care. Pray for the children that are sold as sex slaves and that have no hope or future.

Read Life That Matters and you will see what I mean.

Father God awaken us. Create in me a hunger. Draw me close to Thee and use me for Your purposes. Let me be a light that shines. I have several that I see everyday that need You. Open the doors. Prepare their hearts. In Jesus name. Amen.

(All of the blogs in my blog roll column have something to offer, so if you are ever hunting check them out.)

Landri Walking!

Little miss Landri has come such a long way in such a short time. We all know that God's healing hands are on her, even now. She is coming home on the 5th of December. Praise God for answered prayer! Thank you prayer warriors for staying on your knees during this difficult trial that the Jones's family is going through. Below are pictures of sweet Landri Dee walking with her walker and then holding her momma's hand and walking. Such a strong determined little girl!

Mark 5:41 "Taking her by the hand He said to her, 'Talitha Kumi' which means "Little girl, I say to you ARISE!"

What a blessed Thanksgiving this 2012. My God is a healer. My God is a redeemer! My God is God above all gods in this world. The One and Only. The Alpha and the Omega! Yahweh! Jehova! Elohim! My Savior! The Great I AM! Father God we give YOU all the praise, honor and glory in Jesus Christs sweet and precious name!

Update on Landri

Message from Jennifer-Landri's mom.
"Landri has been really wanting the feeding tube out. Today she got it out, just not in the ideal way. It started gagging her and she threw up and it came up too. It looked like a long worm hanging out of her mouth. Poor baby :-( I told them they were NOT putting another one in! As you can see, it's out and Landri has nuggets and a milk shake from Chick Fila. Keep your prayers going up. She's working so hard. We all know Landri wants to walk and talk and do all the things she used to do and even more. She's going to be so much better at all of it. I can't say it enough...my little hero!! A parent's love never stops growing. I'm so, so proud of my Drayden too. He's been so mature during all of this. We miss him so much and he misses us just as much, but he has been such a trooper. I sure hope and believe Santa is going to be super awesome to him this year because he definitely deserves it PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME HE MAKES IT ALL POSSIBLE Thank you everyone ♥"

Thank-you all for keeping Landri in your prayers. I am so proud of her and her family. Our family is so strong and have really pulled together during this crisis. It's made us rethink every moment, every day and how we choose to live. God always brings greatness out of what satan means for harm.

Mark 5:41 "Taking her by the hand her said to her,
'talitha kumi,'
which means, 'little girl, I say to you, arise.'"
And in Jesus' name she is doing just that!

Prayers for Landri Dee

This is my second cousin Landri Dee. She calls me aunt Jennifer and I call her my niece. She is 7 years old. Please keep my sweet lady bug Landri in your prayers. She needs God's healing. The Dr.s found a tangerine sized tumor at the base of her skull. She had surgery to remove the tumor on Wednesday this week. It was attached to her brain stem. She had a sinus infection when they done surgery. Ordinarily they would not have done surgery until the sinus infection was gone but this was too urgent. They believe all of the tumor is gone. They are waiting for the test results on the tumor. They believe they got the whole tumor and we are trusting in Jesus it is gone! Her complication now are her lungs. Please pray she heals and can breathe fully and normally on her own. Her swallowing reflex is not working so they are contemplating a feeding tube. She will have to relearn to talk and walk. Please share this. I want as many people as possible praying for her. Thank you so much my dear prayer warriors
This is the Jone's family.

Missing are brothers Devin and Dylan and sister Leah.

Peace Today

This week has slowed down some. I only had school two days. This fall air is so refreshing and rejuvenating. It gives me new found energy, desire, and hope. Having the extra time at my home, a home that I have grown to love so dear, is so appreciated. Having time to clean, cook, and listen to the Beatles. Spending time with my grandson Treyton.

Dad brought me a huge bag of fresh turnips and turnip greens. I'm fixing those with homemade macaroni and cheese, baked bean, meatballs and a huge pan of cornbread. Cornbread. It reminds me of my grandpa. His cornbread, turnips and greens were out of this world. Mine will never compare but the smell and every bite brings an old memory back.

Family. My sister is here helping me. I've missed her so bad since she has been at the beach for 16 years. I'm so glad she has moved back. Quality time together has suffered. Somehow those yearly visits just don't keep the bond as much as spending time together everyday.

God is so good.

My sweet second cousin-that I call my niece had surgery yesterday. They discovered a tangerine sized tumor at the base of her skull this week. We are praising God that the surgeons were able to get it all. She is only 7 years old and such a sweet, precious, brave little girl.

I have peace today and a heart of Thanksgiving.

Thank-You Lord for this day.
A Prayer of Thanksgiving
By St. Basil the Great

O Existing One, Master Lord, God, almighty and adorable Father: It is truly meet and right and befitting the majesty of Thy holiness that we should praise Thee, hymn Thee, bless Thee, worship Thee, give thanks unto Thee and glorify Thee, the only truly existing God, and offer unto Thee with contrite heart and spirit of humility this our rational worship; for Thou art He that hath graciously bestowed upon us the knowledge of Thy truth.
And who is sufficient to speak of Thy mighty acts, to make all Thy praises to be heard, or to tell of all Thy wonders at every season?

O Master of all, Lord of heaven and earth, and of all creation both visible and invisible, Who sittest upon the throne of glory and beholdest the depths, Who art unoriginate, invisible, immutable, the Father of our Lord: the great God and Savior Jesus Christ, our Hope, Who is the Image of Thy goodness, the Seal of equal type, in Himself showing forth Thee, the Father, the living Word, the true God, the Wisdom before all ages, the Life, Sanctification, Power, the true Light, through Whom the Holy Spirit was manifested: the Spirit of truth, the Gift of adoption, the Pledge of the inheritance to come, the First-fruits of eternal good things, the life-giving Power, the Fountain of sanctification, by Whom enabled every rational and intelligent creature doth serve Thee and ascribe to Thee perpetual praise, for all things are Thy servants.

Filled thus with great awe at Thine immeasurable mercies and love, do Thou receive the unfeigned praise and thanksgiving of our unworthy hearts for all that Thou hast provided for us in this world and the next, and enable us to walk before Thee in holiness and purity all the days of our life in fitting gratitude for Thy loving-kindness to us;

For blessed art Thou O Holy Father together with Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ to Whom, with Thee and the Holy Spirit, be all honor and glory and worship, now and every and unto ages of ages.
Amen.

Sunday, Glorious Sunday!

What a wild weekend. Storms have been coming since Friday night. Tony and I were caught out in 80 miles an hour winds on the motorcycle. I prayed in the Spirit the whole way home. God had His mighty hand upon us the entire way.

This morning we attended services at T.R.A.S.H. ministries. I love hearing Mike Price teach on love. That has been the unplanned theme the past few weeks. Generally their services are on Friday nights and this week they've begun services on the 1st Sunday of each month at 9a.m. I love T.R.A.S.H. and the people in it. They are truly like a family that I am honored to be a part of.

Riding the bike with my husband Tony is such a bonding time for us. Alone time where we sometimes have sweet chats while observing God's creations with the wind blowing in our faces. Other times we can ride in silence with no words needed. Just the presence of my husband, his warmth, his strong arms leading us down the road. He's taught me so much about the Lord. He's taught me to lean on him, to trust him, and to follow him. For so many years I tried so hard to be the leader and I was simply miserable. I am at such a great point of peace and happiness in my life. I am so incredibly blessed. My husband has taught me of unconditional love and how the Lord loves us at all times through everything. He is a great man.

When we left T.R.A.S.H. and went on to Well Spring Fellowship. We had communion. It had been a while for me. It was so sweet. What an amazing praise and worship service we experienced. The Spirit of God is so sweet and consuming. My own hungry spirit was fed and set on fire.

Then Tony and I rode to have a delicious lunch together. We thought the storms would catch us once again on the motorcycle but we missed the rain and had a very peaceful, windy ride home.

We were hoping to hear from sweet Savannah today but I suppose as deep as they are in the jungles of Ethiopia, it will be a while before we hear from her. We are trusting her with her Father and lifting her up in prayers and thoughts until we connect again.

Our scripture today that brought me to my knees in repentance follows. How heavy my heart was as the Word of God was read aloud. How deep my repentance was. How sweet was His merciful forgiveness. I praise You Father!

Ephesians 5

GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Imitate God

Imitate God, since you are the children he loves. Live in love as Christ also loved us. He gave his life for us as an offering and sacrifice, a soothing aroma to God.
Don’t let sexual sin, perversion of any kind, or greed even be mentioned among you. This is not appropriate behavior for God’s holy people. It’s not right that dirty stories, foolish talk, or obscene jokes should be mentioned among you either. Instead, give thanks to God. You know very well that no person who is involved in sexual sin, perversion, or greed (which means worshiping wealth) can have any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Don’t let anyone deceive you with meaningless words. It is because of sins like these that God’s anger comes to those who refuse to obey him. Don’t be partners with them.
Once you lived in the dark, but now the Lord has filled you with light. Live as children who have light. Light produces everything that is good, that has God’s approval, and that is true. 10 Determine which things please the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the useless works that darkness produces. Instead, expose them for what they are. 12 It is shameful to talk about what some people do in secret. 13 Light exposes the true character of everything 14 because light makes everything easy to see. That’s why it says:
    “Wake up, sleeper!
        Rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”
15 So then, be very careful how you live. Don’t live like foolish people but like wise people. 16 Make the most of your opportunities because these are evil days. 17 So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord wants. 18 Don’t get drunk on wine, which leads to wild living. Instead, be filled with the Spirit 19 by reciting psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs for your own good. Sing and make music to the Lord with your hearts. 20 Always thank God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 21 Place yourselves under each other’s authority out of respect for Christ.

Ethiopia

Savannah Sky is in Ethiopia. We've had great contact with her up until now. We are all in for the long haul now. She was on fire the last time we spoke. No tears. Only excitement to shine her light for God to the people of Addis and Korah! Keep her and the people the Lord is going to use her to reach in your prayers. I'm so excited for her! Nothing in this world feels better than being used by God to further His Kingdom. What greater purpose could there be?!

Getting Ready for Bed

I have a Human Anatomy and Physiology Exam coming up. I've been studying all week. Late nights make for tired days and headaches but I know that the studying will pay off. I have really stuck to my plan of putting more time into my school work and my grades are proving it. Not much longer now. A mere 5 more weeks until the end of this semester! I'm so excited!

I am also on pins and needles to hear from the college on whether or not I'm accepted to the RN program. We won't hear anything until April and it feels like years even though it's barely days away. I know that God's will - will be done. So, accepted or declined, I march forward. I still plan a full summer of classes either way and I will reapply in the Fall if I am declined. I like the anticipation. I love setting goals for myself. During my homeschooling years, I would always set goals for the girls but somehow, it never occurred to me to set big goals for myself. I'm enjoying it. I know the Lord is going to use this goal in the missions field and the excitement is often hard to contain. Not my time Lord but YOURS. Patience and perseverance is what I'm learning. Pushing in and pushing forward. Running this race.

It's 6:30 am in Uganda as I write this tonight. I am preparing for bed and for another day at work, more studies, more people to pray over, another day with my family and they-the people of Uganda- are just waking up. Or waking up soon. They are forever on my heart. I pray tonight for the Lord to prepare the way for Savannah on this missions trip. I pray for the Lord to prepare the hearts of the people of Uganda and for this ministry team heading their way this summer. I pray the Lord grow this team and change these teens. A forever change. I pray that the Lord continue to build the pathway that is leading us to help those in Uganda. I pray that the Lord anoint our hands and feet. That souls be harvested, tummies be fed, and bodies be held. Yes, held. How I long to hug those people.

I have opportunity to serve everyday. Everyday in the dentist office the Lord reveals a lonely soul, someone I can bless with His love through a hug or a smile. He reveals needs and opportunity as I lay hands on patients and pray quietly. While the Dr. assesses their need - my Father is fulfilling it. I love that the Lord uses us mightily wherever we are. No work is small work in God's business.

Yet, I feel this calling.

If you are reading this intercess for Uganda tonight. I pray that you hear and know the path the Lord has set before you. One step at a time. One day a time. In the right direction.

Praying Psalm 91

Psalm 91
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD,
“He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the LORD, who is my refuge—then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because he loves me,“ says the LORD, ”I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation” (NIV).

I use to pray this every single morning and every single night over my home and family. I actually had a tape that I would play, where people would join me in praying this over our property, home and family. It was a very powerful time of prayer for me. I love the part that says, "He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge." I look at my back piece and see my sparrows and I am comforted knowing my Father is my protector. I am comforted knowing His love for me is so strong. Pray out loud with me, for your self and your family if you will. Of course the Lord hears our hearts but praying out loud is a powerful tool!

Father I speak Psalms 91 over my home and family. (Read it aloud now) I stand firmly on Your word and Your promises. I thank You for warmth and protection. In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind my body, soul and spirit to the will and purposes of God.  I bind myself to the truth of God.  I bind myself to the awareness of the power of the blood of Jesus working in my life every day.  I bind my mind to the mind of Christ so I can have the thoughts, purposes and feelings of His mind and heart in me.  I bind my feet to the paths you have ordained for me to walk, God, that my steps will be strong and steady.  I bind myself of the work of the cross with all its mercy, truth, love, power, forgiveness and dying to self.  I know that this is where the power to become a new creature in Christ, lies. Lord, I repent of having wrong attitudes and thoughts; I renounce them now and ask your forgiveness.  I loose every old, wrong, pattern of thinking, attitude, idea, desire, belief, habit and behavior that may still be working in me.  I tear down, crush, smash and destroy every stronghold I have erected to protect them.  I bind myself to the attitudes of Jesus Christ. Father, I loose the power and the effects of any harsh or hard words, or any word curses, spoken about me, to me or by me.  I loose any stronghold thinking still connected to them.  I loose all generational bondage thinking from myself.  Thank you, Jesus, that you have promised that whatever I bind and loose on earth that is in accordance with the will of the Father, will be bound and loosed in heaven. I bind up every force of evil that has set itself against my husband, our marriage, our children, our ministry and the call on our lives that God has revealed and has yet to reveal to us and I loose the Powers of God: warring angels, ministering angels, and the Holy Spirit against this attack that we have authority over in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Praising God

I praise God for His mercy and grace. His blessed forgiveness. I thank Him that He never stops working on me.

An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband trust in her, And he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil, all the days of her life. Proverbs 31:10-12

My Heart Felt Prayer

at this time:

"Create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit in me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me."

- Psalm 51:10-12

Answered Prayer

After weeks of hunting and haggling we finally found a car! I love it! We decided on the 2011 Nissan Sentra. I wanted the Altima, oh did I want the Altima, but I simply could not afford it at this time. Even so, I love the Sentra and I'm thankful to the Lord for helping me make the best decision for my family and not going over my budget. The temptation was hard but I stood firm and I feel really good about our purchase.

Father God, I ask that You place a hedge of protection around this car, that You would charge guardian angels over each and every mile traveled, in Jesus mighty name. I ask that You give this vehicle long life and that it would operate smoothly and efficiently as it was designed to do. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

You Say It's Your Birthday! Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Another year gone by. It's amazing how time just seems to fly by. I am 39 today. 39 Amazing. 40 is just around the corner. I can remember when I thought that it would never get here, that it be forever-an eternity before I would begin getting old.

I've had one daughter graduate, get married and give birth to my first grandchild, a grandson. The concept of getting older has never been one that easy for me to conceive. It's something I have to think through. I believe that over time I have finally began coming to the place of accepting that there is absolutely nothing I can do to stop it, the best I can hope for is to embrace it.

I want to do things for the Lord I've never had the nerve to do. I want to LIVE each moment to make Him proud. It's time for change in my life and it's about time. It's time to stop looking around and wondering what everyone else thinks of me and look to my Father.

Father, have I made you proud? Have I fulfilled even partially the call that You have placed on my life? Let me live today and everyday to come for You. I want to please You and fulfill Your will and not my own. I want to live for You and die to myself. It isn't about me, it never was, it's always been about You. Lead me, guide me, use me. I surrender all. I give You all my love and praise this day for You are worthy! Holy is Your name! Hallelujah! Jesus is Lord!

Finding Myself

You know I've spent the last few hours reading over some of my older posts again.

My discovery is so odd, and yet at the same time, somehow...now-it makes perfect sense.

The Lord was filling me around the end of 2009. At the time I thought that He was getting me through the moments, the days, the trials, BUT as I look back and read what the Lord was speaking to me, what He was saying so clearly, He was teaching me, preparing me...well at least trying to prepare me, as much as I would allow, for the attack to come during the early part of 2010.

Instead of absorbing and really learning, truly listening and retaining, I shared with everyone as though I had word of knowledge for THEM and I emptied everything out without retaining the lessons He was teaching ME.

The lessons that were meant for ME.

Sharing is perfectly fine, but if you empty out what has been given to you without absorbing it, you've gained nothing.

As I look back now, I can clearly see how my Father provided me absolutely everything I needed to overcome every obstacle, every trial that came my way. As I prayed it was like I was asking Him to do it for me, take care of this for me, make it go away but He expects us to do our part. He gives us what we need and He expects us to use it.

It seems almost silly now, so obvious, but at that time I couldn't see it. I was so hungry for God, yearning for Him to speak to me, convinced that my relationship with Him wasn't good enough or strong enough or right enough or real enough......

Then I wind up here.

And the view from here shows me that it WAS good, it WAS strong, it WAS right and it WAS very very real.

I needed this.

I know my way now.

Thank-You Father for Your revelation. I am truly on my way back.

Prayer Request for friend's of mine's daughter Katie

Katie was in a bad car accident on November 10th. Her cars side nor front airbags deployed. She has major facial damage including breaking both cheeks, detaching her palate and they've had to wire her jaw together. She also broke both of her femurs. She has undergone a 7 hour surgery with a plastic surgeon for her face and a 5 hour surgery on her legs. Tory is just 18/19, she is beautiful and has her whole life ahead of her. Her parents are so precious! I went to school with both her mom and her dad. I would so appreciate it if the blogging community would come together and pray hard for them!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for prayer, my very dedicated prayer warrior sisters online both in blog land and on my home school boards. I am thankful that you are each sensitive enough to follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit and that our precious Father is always, always, always faithful to hear our calls and answer!
