Wordless Wednesday

This is Aiden. Please keep this little fella in your prayers. His mommy is in prison. My sister in law met her while she was doing some time and they bonded. She had no one to take him and he would have gone into foster care. Now my sister in law is taking care of him and I really believe that it is helping her, plus we get to help too! Thank-you for your prayers for him and his mommy.

My Sweet and Crazy Husband

As most of you know my hubby is an over the road truck driver. Before leaving last week he borrowed my camera and took these pictures. He called and told me to check the pictures on it later. How surprised I was to see these. I didn't blog them all, as there were many many more! My three daughters are always taking pictures of themselves with crazy facial expressions and Tony thought he'd try it! Hilarious! You gotta love him!

A not so Wordless Wednesday!!

My daughter's first car accident. This happened Thanksgiving night. She was driving a Jeep Cherokee and it was late, dark and on an unknown road. She wasn't paying attention looked up and had run off the right hand side of the road. Heaven then over corrected and lost control of the vehicle, over corrected a second time picking up speed because she was going down a large hill, she then slid sideways across the intersection of the parkway and blew out the front drivers side tire at which time the jeep went up on two wheels. She screamed her request outloud, "Please do not let us flip in the name of Jesus!" The jeep sat down and slid down an embankment. I do believe she was in shock at this point....Tyler my nephew (it was his mom's jeep) decided he could get them out so not knowing the front tire was out he put the jeep in four wheel drive and tried to get them out. He managed to run the jeep up and down several trees but they were stuck, this is where most of the damage came from. Sigh....I just praise God that He had His hand upon them. That my daughter cried out to Him in her time of need and that He was faithful. :) And I'm thankful my sister in law was such a sport about the whole thing and not upset over her jeep...

Wordless Wednesday Happy Birthday To Meadow

My Wordless Wednesday isn't so wordless this week! I just have to share this. Meadow has been wanting a kitty cat for a really long time. Her dad isn't a cat lover and I think it may be safe to say he was the opposite of that. Since Meadow was old enough to talk she has asked for a kitten. At three she began praying for one. Over the years we have pleaded with daddy to give in but he just wouldn't. Then this year as Meadow was getting ready to turn six, and still asking for a kitten, something in my husband changed. Maybe he is getting soft in his old age, all is I know is that he decided to let us get Meadow a kitten for her birthday.

I hunted everywhere because Meadow wanted a white kitten. I finally came across these two little beauties and knew they were the ones. Imagine Tony's reaction when I called and asked permission for not just one kitten but two! I was SHOCKED when he replied, "I guess."

So, the day of Meadow's birthday Heaven and I went and picked up the kittens. One boy that I named Brodie and a girl for Meadow to name. I took them to the vet and brought them home in their pet taxi. We all gathered in Meadow's room and sat the kitten's taxi on her bed and closed her door. We called for Meadow to come in her room and when she opened her door she seen the kittens on her bed and gasped, "Are they real Mommy?!" We all just laughed! She named her little girl Gracie and then she screamed, "This is just like a dream mommy, I hope I don't wake up!"

This was one of the most memorable birthdays I've ever enjoyed. I told Meadow that God had heard and answered her prayers at the most perfect time! Because of her wait she appreciated them so much more. And her daddy knew he had just made his little princess the happiest princess in the world!

My baby girl is growing up. 6 Time truly does fly.
